Retouched Photo

This is a photo that I retouched of my grandmother. It was surprisingly difficult near the end...

A quick movie review...

I watched two documentaries some time ago. The first being "Stranger with a Camera"; and the second being "The True Meaning of Pictures". Both were concerning the people of the Appalachian mountains. For decades a portion of the population has lived below the poverty line. People have come from miles around to document these people; some with good intentions. Then there were those who had exploited these people just to increase their ratings. After some time though the line between these two groups have blurred and the weary people of Kentucky began to resent those who had come to document them.
To me there will always be a fine line of helping and exploiting the downtrodden people of this world. These two films are great examples of such a thing. Ultimately, I believe it is up to the creator of the piece to determine what the meaning really is.

A pretty interesting story

Mr. Albanese is a photographer that makes beautiful landscapes. But, he does it from the comfort of his own home. Using things like steel wool or paprika he crafts images that would be difficult to photograph by normal means.
